Our 2023 season is rapidly approaching. We will open the day after Thanksgiving (November 24th) at 10am!!
We are a family owned choose and cut farm that also carries Fraser Firs. Visitors are welcome come and cut down either Leyland/Murray Cypress or White Pine trees growing in the fields or choose amongst the Fraser firs that are shipped in from North Carolina where they need the colder temperature to grow. We also carry wreaths, swags, mailbox toppers: everything you need for your natural Christmas decorating.
Opening Hours
Please make sure that you arrive by 4:30 pm in order to allow yourself enough time and daylight to select a tree.

Trees and Wreaths
A&A Christmas Tree Farm grows Leyland/Murray Cypress and White Pine trees that are available to be cut down. We provide saws and carts so you can hunt for and cut down your own tree. After you find your tree, we shake out any loose needles, bale up the tree, and we will tie the tree to your roof with twine or load it into the back of your truck. We also carry Fraser Firs, wreaths and swags.
Fraser Fir
Great Smell, Strong Branches
These are the trees most often pictured as Christmas trees. Unfortunately, Fraser firs won't grow in South Carolina, so we get ours shipped in from a farm in the mountains of North Carolina. Upon receiving these trees, we work as quickly as possible to get them into water. Even the trees which are not on display are stored in fresh water. This helps us to be able to offer the freshest Fraser firs in the Lowcountry.
Leyland Cypress/Murray Cypress
Little smell, small needles
The soft needles and branches of these trees let them have an almost perfect shape. They don't give off much of a scent and some heavier ornaments must be placed deeper into the tree. These trees don't need much more than lights to really look spectacular.
White Pine
Great Smell, Strong branches
These are real Lowcountry Christmas trees. They have a soft pine scent and sturdy branches for your ornaments. They have long needles and natural spacing, allowing you to show off your best ornaments.

Sizes range from 18" to 46"
A front door with a real wreath is always inviting at Christmas. We have wreaths made from Fraser fir branches. We sell wreaths decorated with pine cones and ribbons, plain wreaths, and unique ones decorated by Dianne and Anne.

About A & A Christmas Trees
A&A Christmas Trees was started by Jerry and Dianne Youngblood more than 40 years ago. Long enough ago to see many of the children who once roamed the fields looking for trees now back with children of their own looking for a Christmas tree. These grown children include Jerry and Dianne's own daughters, who bring their children out to the fields.
Now Jerry and Dianne are assisting in the transition of ownership to their daughter, Anne and son-in-law, Daniel. The transition of ownership to Anne and Daniel will ensure that future generations will be able to enjoy cutting down their own perfect Christmas tree!
Which tree is the Best?
This is a tough question because everyone has a different opinon. If you are 6 years old, it probably is whichever is tallest. Really whichever type you choose, once you have it up and decorated you will sit back and think just how beautiful they all are.
How should I care for my tree?
Water, water, water! Did we mention water? The trees drink alot of water early on. It is necessary to get the tree in water within a hour of cutting it. If it is more than an hour since it has been cut at the farm, don't worry: just cut a 1/4 inch of the bottom of the tree and put it in water. Make sure you check the tree everyday so it doesn't run out of water (check twice a day for the first week).
How should I care for my Wreath?
Wreaths are just like any flowers or garland.They will do better if they don't get too hot. Avoiding direct sunlight and giving it a little spray of water will help keep the wreaths looking their best through out the Christmas season.
Any Tips?
When cutting down your tree, cut as close to the ground as possible. This will allow for you to have alot of stump to fit in your stand (most stands require 6-8 inches of stump). When cutting, have some one pull lightly on the opposite side of the tree. This helps keep the saw from binding and make it easier for the person cutting.

How big of a tree should I get?
If you have 10 foot ceilings, you don't want a 10 foot tree. All our trees are measured to be just above the height marked on the tag. You will also need to add a few inches for the stand so a tree that is 10 feet tall would go right through your ceiling. You should look for trees that are at least a half-foot shorter then your ceiling height.
